The Wattle Range Council area is predominantly rural, with the main service centre being Millicent, and smaller townships at Beachport, Coonawarra, Furner, Glencoe, Hatherleigh, Kalangadoo, Mount Burr, Nangwarry, Penola, Rendelsham, Southend and Tantanoola.
