This is a great trail for the kids as it is short but interesting. Djidi-djidi is a Noongar name for the Willie Wagtail and whilst we didn't see any of these on our hike we could hear lots of birds in the bush around us. Located in the Chittering Valley this short 1.5km return trail is a great add on to a day trip exploring the valley or heading further afield to Bindoon or Toodyay.
The hidden walk trail on this reserve is seasonally abundant in wildflowers ~ wattles, parrotbush, orchids... It boasts fantastic views across the valley from the lookout at the top of the trail.
Windmill Farm is located in a safe and quiet environment and has all the modern amenities required for international travellers – surrounded by bush clad hills and orange orchards, at the head of the Chittering Valley, the 40 acre property and nearby bush reserves are home to kangaroos, wallabies, emus and a marvellous variety of birds.
