Allied Health Services in Tasmania: Therapy That Doesn't Depend on Your Postcode

Across much of regional Tasmania, allied health can be hard to find nearby. Waitlists can be long, and specialist experience may be several hours away.

Telehealth connects you with the right therapist for your goals, not just whoever is closest. That matters most for specialised needs, like paediatric speech therapy or support after a stroke.

It also means therapy keeps going when life gets in the way. That might be winter weather, a busy school term, a flare-up that makes travel hard, or a week when you're caring for someone else.

Embrace the ease and comfort of accessing our online therapy services from your own home in Tasmania. Our Telehealth services are available across Australia.

Why Choose Physio Inq in Tasmania

Four allied health disciplines under one provider means your therapists can work together towards the same goals. You won't need to repeat your story to separate services or juggle different bookings and paperwork.

Our therapists are qualified allied health professionals, registered or accredited with their professional bodies. They plan sessions around your routines so strategies feel realistic to follow at home.

You can also organise support for a family member or someone in your care, and carers are welcome to join sessions.

Who We Support in Tasmania

Children and families: Speech and language support, occupational therapy for fine motor skills, sensory needs and daily routines, and coaching for parents so strategies carry into everyday life at home and school.

NDIS participants: Capacity building therapy focused on your plan goals, such as independence, communication, movement and participation. Support coordinators and carers can be involved as much as you'd like.

Older Tasmanians: Exercise programs for strength and balance to reduce falls risk, support staying independent at home, and advice on everyday tasks and equipment.

Adults managing health conditions or recovering from injury: Guided rehabilitation, exercise physiology for conditions such as diabetes, and communication support after a stroke or with a neurological condition.

Our telehealth services cover Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Exercise Physiology.

Your First Telehealth Session, Step by Step

  1. Book or get referred. Book directly, or have your GP, support coordinator or another provider refer you through our online form.
  2. Get set up. We'll send you a link before your appointment. All you need is a phone, tablet or computer with a camera and a reasonably stable internet connection.
  3. Meet your therapist. Your first session covers what's been happening, what you want to work towards, and an assessment by video. For physio and exercise physiology, a little space to move helps.
  4. Leave with a plan. You'll finish with clear next steps and activities to practise before your next session. Your plan is reviewed and adjusted as you progress.

In most cases, Tasmanian clients can see a therapist within a week of reaching out to us.

Telehealth doesn't include hands-on treatment, and some services, such as occupational therapy driving assessments, need an in-person appointment. We'll always tell you if we think a face-to-face service would suit you better.
