Mobile Exercise Physiology in Brisbane Physio Inq

Brisbane Mobile Exercise Physiology

Exercise physiology is an evidence-based allied health discipline focused on the prescription and delivery of exercise to prevent, manage and rehabilitate chronic health conditions, disability and injury. Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are university-trained clinicians who design and supervise individualised exercise programs based on each person’s health status, goals and physical capacity.

Mobile exercise physiology takes this support directly to the client. Rather than attending a gym or clinic, our exercise physiologists travel to the home, community or outdoor setting where the client is most comfortable and where exercise can be integrated naturally into daily life. This approach is particularly effective for people managing chronic conditions, fatigue, disability or complex health needs, where the demands of travelling to a facility can be a significant barrier to consistent exercise participation.

At Physio Inq, our Accredited Exercise Physiologists deliver clinical-grade assessment and exercise programming across a wide range of conditions and populations. We work collaboratively with GPs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, support coordinators and other members of the care team to ensure exercise programs are safe, well-coordinated and aligned with each person’s broader health goals.

What our mobile exercise physiologists can help with:

  • Chronic disease management, including cardiovascular conditions, diabetes and respiratory conditions
  • Disability and NDIS exercise programs for physical function and independence
  • Strength, balance and mobility programs for older Australians
  • Cancer rehabilitation and exercise during treatment or recovery
  • Mental health support through structured exercise programs
  • Post-surgical and musculoskeletal rehabilitation
  • Weight management and metabolic health programs
  • Neurological rehabilitation exercise programs
  • Fatigue management and energy conservation through graded exercise
  • Exercise prescription for complex and multi-system health conditions

All programs are individually designed, regularly reviewed and adjusted to reflect the client’s progress, capacity and changing health needs.

How We Deliver Exercise Physiology

Physio Inq delivers exercise physiology across three service channels, ensuring flexible, accessible support regardless of location or circumstances.

In Your Home

Home-based exercise physiology allows sessions to take place in the environment where the client lives and functions. Our exercise physiologists design programs using available home space and equipment or bring portable equipment as needed, ensuring exercise is practical, achievable and immediately relevant to daily life. Removing the need to travel to a clinic is particularly important for clients managing fatigue, mobility limitations, disability or complex health conditions, where the demands of attending a clinic can be a significant barrier to consistent exercise participation.

Community-based sessions support social participation goals and can be particularly motivating for long-term exercise adherence.

Online (Telehealth)

Telehealth exercise physiology is available for program delivery, coaching, progress reviews and education sessions. It is effective for many aspects of exercise prescription and is particularly useful for clients in regional or remote areas, or for regular check-ins between in-person sessions.
