What Is Aged Care Occupational Therapy?
Aged care occupational therapy is occupational therapy tailored to the needs of older Australians. It focuses on supporting older adults to keep doing the everyday activities that matter to them safely, confidently and with as much independence as possible, in the environments where they live and spend their time.
At Physio Inq, our AHPRA-registered aged care occupational therapists deliver assessment and support in the home and in residential aged care, providing recommendations that are immediately relevant to the client's actual environment. From home safety assessments and equipment prescription to daily living retraining and cognitive support, our approach is practical, respectful and focused on the individual's goals. We work with clients accessing the Support at Home program (formerly Home Care Package), the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and private funding.
