Rock Blades | Worth The Hype?

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

If you want to enhance your manual therapy skills, it's worthwhile to invest your time into learning and practising Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) as it improves the patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes. While there are different inexpensive ways to get started with IASTM, there are better instruments out there on the market that can aggrandize the results of the therapy if you are already using IASTM and want better results. In this post, we are going to review Rock Blades, a set of knuckle tools that are used by therapists to improve manual therapy sessions.

You can perform IASTM using spoons, cups and even bands, but using specialized tools like Rock Blades could really improve the end result of the manual therapy. For starters, Rock Blades don’t come cheap, so you might want to closely weigh the benefits with the cost.

For $500, you get a pair of Knuckles: A standard, bigger-sized version and a smaller, sports version. If you are a therapist reading through this, you could easily understand how different sizes of these knuckles could help you with performing manual therapy.

We love the eclectic sports version as it has great curves and can be used for massaging traps, back and leg muscles. The standard version is chunkier and can only be used for limited areas of the body. However, the bigger counterpart provides a better grip even when you hold it from both ends.
